Lessons are provided for students with a wide variety of skills. We offer lessons to accommodate the student who has never ridden a horse all the way to the experienced rider who may need to refresh their riding skills after a long absence.
Regardless of what level of instruction you may need, we can provide you with lessons that will help you become a safe, confident, and independent rider. |
Beginner Package 4 - 45 min. lessons $150
The goals of the Beginner Package are to teach the beginner rider the basic foundations. These lessons will introduce the following horsemanship skills: |
- Safe handling of the horse on the ground
- Tie horse securely
- Grooming
- Tacking up/untacking horse
- Proper names and care for equipment and tack
The following riding skills will be introduced in the Beginner Package:
- Mounting/dismounting
- Walking
- Steering
- Halting
- Trotting

Students with no prior riding experience are required to complete the Beginner
Package lessons before committing to one of our 4 week packages.

Four Week Lesson Package
Students who ride with us regularly are encouraged to purchase lessons in a four week lesson bundle. Four week packages are offered in three formats: |

- Private Lessons: (One student per instructor)

- Semi-Private: (2 riders per instructor)

- Group: (3-4 riders per instructor)

As Arranged Lessons
This lesson option is for those who do not wish to commit to a weekly lesson format or time.
- Private Lessons: (One student per instructor)
$50.00 per hr. or
$40.00 for 1/2 hr.*
- Semi-Private: (2 riders per instructor)
$45.00 per rider per hr.
- Group: (3-4 riders per instructor)
$35.00 per rider per hr.

*These lessons are designed for the very young riders under the age of 5 who are not able to concentrate or have the skills for a full hour of instruction. Many 4-5 year olds start their horse experience here at HHEC in these lessons.

Horse Leasing Program
|
Harmony Hills also offers partial leasing of their horses to Harmony Hill students. Leasing is a great way to improve a student's riding skills and is a good precursor to owning your own horse and provides a much less expensive way to have a special horse of your own.

BOARDING
Currently we can only offer pasture boarding to a selected number of students.
